Developed by Johns Hopkins Medicine, the Leadership Development Toolkit helps structure development opportunities used to advance leadership skills of members within healthcare organizations. The Toolkit includes activities/tips, courses and references which are specific to leadership competencies measured by the Johns Hopkins Hospital Management Job Description. The toolkit is available as a group of hyperlinks. A web browser is required to view the toolkit components.

New Management and Planning Tools

A team from the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) researched and developed seven quality control tools, often called the seven management and planning (MP) tools. The ASQ has provided these MP tools to implement new creative communication and planning and managing techniques that can be used in all occupational levels. These tools will assist in identifying problems and bringing about innovative solutions. The seven MP tools are available as separate webpages and will require a web browser to view them.

Measures in Decreasing Workplace Violence

The APNA has made a Position Statement regarding violence in the workplace, bringing awareness and insight to horizontal violence. Readiness Assessment Tool for Nursing Homes

The Readiness Assessment Tool is designed to help nursing homes assess whether they are ready to undertake organization-wide practice and culture changes for Quality Improvement (QI). The information obtained through the baseline assessment from use of the tool can form the basis of dialogue and problem-solving across all levels of staff to enhance an organization's readiness for QI activity.
