Visiting another organization can be a great help to teams working on improvement. Visiting exposes your team to insights unavailable by any other method. The face-to-face nature of visiting allows more interaction and accelerates improvement. Use these guidelines to help you arrange and run a visit. Keep in mind that both teams-visitors and hosts-need to be prepared to learn and to teach. The visitors have as much to offer as the hosts. The report was developed by IHI.
