Cost-Effectiveness of Automated Telephone Self-Management Support With Nurse Care Management Among Patients With Diabetes

This study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of an automated telephone self-management support with nurse care management (ATSM) intervention for patients with type 2 diabetes, which was tested among patients receiving primary care in publicly funded (safety net) clinics, focusing on non-English speakers. Developmental Screening Tool Kit

Alison Schonwald, MD, FAAP, Children's Hospital Boston created this toolkit for primary care providers as a guide for implementing a program for screening children for developmental needs. Many patients have developmental needs that could be identified and addressed earlier and developmental screening helps to meet that need. “The AAP recommends developmental surveillance at every well-child visit as well as periodic use of a validated screening instrument.” This online tool kit addresses the issues of time, resources, and budget, and it will save time and improve patient care.
