Our latest research shows 25% of U.S. consumers feel completely financially secure today. And, more than half (56%) of respondents say they will be financially secure someday.&nbsp;

When asked what most closely aligns with how they pay bills on a monthly basis, 40% of all respondents say they prefer to manually view and pay each bill every month to keep track of their finances. An additional 24% say they manually pay each bill to make sure they have the funds available.&nbsp;
<h2>2. Incentives could drive consumers to change their payment habits. </h2>
While the majority of consumers (51%) prefer to keep their payment methods the same for convenience, more than one-third (36%) would consider switching if they received an incentive.
<h2>3. The keys to direct deposit switching are rates and rewards. </h2>
When asked if they have ever switched their direct deposit to a different financial institution, the majority (65%) say no. But, nearly half say the top factors that are most likely to make them switch are the ability to earn higher interest rates (22%) or receive cash back incentive or offer to earn rewards for switching (22%).&nbsp;
<h2>4. Personalization is critical. </h2>
Consumers are looking for a financial provider that knows them and puts that knowledge into practice through personalized insights and tools. Forty-nine percent of consumers expect their financial provider to know them. And, 47% of consumers expect greater levels of personalization in banking than ever before. 
<h2>5. Actionable intelligence drives higher engagement and even more data. </h2>
More than half expect their financial provider to leverage the data they have about them to personalize their experience (53%) and provide them with actionable and clear insights about their finances (56%). FDX&rsquo;s open finance standards provide a comprehensive toolkit for building interoperable APIs. It is the culmination of over 600 components related to sharing personal financial data, helping to keep consumer data safe by eliminating the need to share credentials with third parties. The FDX API includes three components:

This means consumer-permissioned data can easily flow from data providers &mdash; often credit unions and banks &mdash; to third-party data recipients (i.e., fintechs and other providers of financial products and services).&nbsp;
The FDX standard helps companies to build interoperable interfaces more easily by establishing clear technical standards that keep data flowing effectively and securely for consumers and businesses. This can help reduce cost, simplify integration with other parties, create more unified and reliable consumer experiences, and aid in regulatory compliance.
The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) published a final <a href="https://www.mx.com/blog/cfpb-dodd-frank-section-1033/">Section 1033 rule</a> in October 2024 that will give consumers greater control and rights over their personal financial data. While <a href="https://www.mx.com/blog/prioritizing-consumer-outcomes/">next steps are currently uncertain</a> in the face of multiple actions from Administration leaders and multiple lawsuits in the courts, this rulemaking fundamentally changes how consumers can access and share their financial data.&nbsp;As part of this rule, the CFPB calls out the need for &ldquo;consensus standards&rdquo; to meet requirements and a recognized standard-setting organization to help create that consensus. FDX received official recognition by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) as an <a href="https://www.financialdataexchange.org/FDX/News/Press-Releases/FDX%20Recognized%20by%20CFPB%20as%20a%20Standard-Setting%20Body,%20a%20Step%20Forward%20for%20Open%20Banking.aspx">industry standard-setting body</a> for the U.S. open banking ecosystem in January 2025. FDX is now in the process of updating a consensus standard data format that aligns with relevant portions of the rulemaking and supports compliance.

MX’s Research Reveals Insights Into PYMNTS’ Consumer Personas

Managing your finances is not always easy, and many consumers identify it as their top stressor. <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/financial-apps-fall-short/">MX&rsquo;s most recent research</a> found more than half of U.S. consumers (51%) agree that money is their main source of stress. But, just because the stress of managing money is common across the board, this does not mean that everyone meets the stress of money management the same way.&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.pymnts.com/study_posts/the-two-money-mindsets-shaping-how-consumers-manage-their-finances/">New research from PYMNTS</a> identified two distinct personas when it comes to how consumers manage their money: reactors &mdash; who take their finances as they come &mdash; and planners that take a proactive approach to managing their finances.&nbsp;
According to PYMNTS, planners are on top of their credit and debt payments, have higher savings balances, and are able to cover emergency expenses as they come. Alternatively, reactors rely more heavily on credit and hold larger credit balances &mdash;&nbsp;and they have less in savings and rely on credit or payday loans to cover emergency expenses.
The report highlights compelling data on who falls into these personas and how understanding the personas can help predict consumer trends. Our <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/financial-apps-fall-short/">most recent survey</a> of 1,000+ U.S. consumers touches on many of the same points &mdash; here&rsquo;s a closer look at some areas where MX&rsquo;s research and the PYMNTS findings overlap:&nbsp;
<h2>How Different Personas Define Financial Wellness</h2>
A key focus of MX&rsquo;s recent survey was how consumers define and measure financial wellness. Here is how consumers answered:
Defining Financial Wellness
More than half of consumers are likely reactors, according to PYMNTS definition. These reactors define financial wellness as being able to pay all of their bills each month (30%) or cover everyday expenses (22%). On the flip side, 48% are planners &mdash; those not worried about unexpected expenses and those focused on saving for retirement. This split closely mirrors how PYMNTS identified consumers &mdash; 42% of consumers fall into the planner persona while 58% are identified as reactors.&nbsp;

Measuring Financial Wellness
When asked what metrics they use to measure their financial wellness, the top metrics consumers say they use can also be split into these two personas:&nbsp;

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Reactor: 42% look at their remaining account balance at the end of each month</li>

<h2>Generational Differences</h2>
PYMNTS also broke down the reactor and planner personas according to different generations. Younger generations are more likely to be reactors (73% of Gen Z) while older generations have the highest percent of planners.&nbsp;
While it&rsquo;s not surprising that younger generations are more likely to be reactors, you see a more nuanced picture when you look at top financial goals for 2025 from MX&rsquo;s research.&nbsp;
Our research indicates that Gen Z consumers want to plan for the future. The top financial goal among Gen Z respondents this year is saving for a new car (17%), compared to only 2% of Baby Boomers who plan to save for a new vehicle.. And, twice as many Gen Z respondents say their top 2025 financial goal is to buy a new home compared to Baby Boomers (8% versus 4%).
At the same time, while older generations have the resources and experience to fit the planner persona according to PYMNTS, their top financial goals center more on reactive concerns. Nineteen percent of Baby Boomers said their top financial goal is to cover their bills each month and another 17% said to pay off credit card debt. And, the most common answer among Baby Boomers was that they did not have a financial goal for 2025 (23%). Covering expenses and paying off debt are both indicative of the reactor persona and not having a financial goal, maybe more so.&nbsp;
Breaking down key differences between reactor and planner consumers can reveal a lot about how financial providers can support their individual needs. For reactors, financial providers should offer education and services that will help them achieve their financial goals and plan for the future. For planners, financial providers can help them ease the burden of financial planning and enjoy the fruits of years of being a planner. In the end, it all comes back to financial providers knowing their customers better, meeting them where they are, and helping them get where they want to go.

At MX, we're committed to driving innovation in financial services through data and technology while ensuring that people are empowered and protected. As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to rapidly transform the financial landscape, we believe it's crucial to have thoughtful policies in place that promote responsible AI development and use.
That's why we recently responded to the Office of Science and Technology Policy's (OSTP) Request for Information (RFI) on the development of an <a href="https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2025/02/06/2025-02305/request-for-information-on-the-development-of-an-artificial-intelligence-ai-action-plan">AI Action Plan</a>. This RFI seeks input from various stakeholders on how to shape the future of AI in the United States.&nbsp;
With 14 years of experience in financial data and working with financial institutions, we have a unique point of view of consumer-centric financial services. Below are some of the key points we made in our submission.&nbsp;
<h2>Data Access is Key to AI Effectiveness</h2>
AI models in financial services rely on high-quality, comprehensive data to be effective. But, many AI models &mdash; particularly in financial services &mdash; can suffer performance challenges due to incomplete datasets.&nbsp;
For instance, the average consumer has at least five or more financial accounts with various banks, credit unions, and other financial providers. This fragmented financial experience can leave consumers &mdash; and the financial providers who serve them &mdash; with blindspots that can negatively impact efforts to improve consumer financial well-being. Without connecting those various accounts and sources of financial data together, organizations can&rsquo;t effectively deliver the products and services that best meet consumer needs.&nbsp;
Comprehensive access to permissioned consumer financial data (such as checking accounts, credit, and investment history) can help AI models to better understand financial behavior, leading to more accurate and consumer-centric guidance and outcomes.
We advocate for modernizing cross agency financial data regulations and oversight to enable secure and consumer-permissioned access to financial data, which will improve the accuracy and fairness of AI-driven financial services.&nbsp;
<h2>Consumer-Centric AI Development</h2>
AI should be designed to prioritize consumer well-being and empowerment. We believe that AI has the potential to revolutionize financial health by helping individuals make informed decisions and achieve their financial goals.
For example, we envision that AI models in financial services will evolve from today&rsquo;s basic insight tools into proactive financial optimization services. A new emerging concept is &ldquo;self-driving finance&rdquo;, where AI agents automatically manage routine financial tasks and even make optimized decisions on behalf of consumers with their consent and guidance. But, these concepts only work if the data supports them. If AI agents are to take action on behalf of consumers or businesses, it is essential that the agent has a 360-degree view of the person&rsquo;s or business&rsquo;s financial situation to ensure the actions it takes are beneficial.&nbsp;
Conversely, if a model has been trained on incomplete, or only publicly available data, the outcomes will be less optimal &mdash; even if a person has shared their 360-degree view of their finances.

We recommended several policy actions to the OSTP, including:

Like a financial data intermediary, data aggregators enable consumers to connect and share their financial data with third parties. But the key difference lies in what happens to the data after it is aggregated.
Financial data intermediaries do not use any consumer information once it&rsquo;s been aggregated. On the other hand, data aggregators sometimes will use consumer data for their own purposes &mdash; like selling that data for profit.
For example, <a href="https://www.finra.org/investors/insights/be-mindful-data-aggregation-risks">FINRA warns</a> that some data aggregators &ldquo;could be storing all consumer financial information or security credentials in one place, creating a new and heightened security risk.&rdquo; In addition, some data aggregators may use or sell consumer financial data in ways that go beyond consumer consent.&nbsp;
At MX, we believe consumer financial data should only be used to ultimately benefit the consumer &mdash; and not used in ways that are purely value extraction or advantageous to an organization to the detriment of the consumer. Consumers View Financial Wellness in a Variety of Ways

Financial wellness is for everyone, but that does not mean that everyone views financial wellness the same way. MX&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/financial-apps-fall-short/">latest research</a> shows how people define and measure financial wellness. Here are some key takeaways for how different genders and generations view financial wellness:
<h3>Women Look at the Present as Men Focus on the Future</h3>
Our research shows that money is a greater source of stress and anxiety for women than men. Fifty-seven percent of women agree money is their main source of stress compared to 45% of men. What&rsquo;s more, nearly twice as many women (22%) strongly agreed with this statement compared to men (12%).&nbsp;
One possible explanation for this contrast is how women and men measure their financial wellness. Our research indicates men are more focused on forecasts of the future while women are concerned with the here and now. For instance, when asked about which metrics they use to measure their financial wellness, men have higher percentages across the board &mdash;&nbsp;more than double the amount of women &mdash;&nbsp;when it comes to investments and savings for the future. <img src="https://cms.mx.com/assets/95083ff0-2cc7-4b9b-99c8-7acd64665a93?width=1200&amp;height=877" alt="Image (23)" />
<h3>Generations View Money Differently &mdash; and Have Different Priorities</h3>
Generations also think about financial wellness very differently. In defining financial wellness, Baby Boomers were the only generation that differed in its top definition. Thirty-eight percent of Baby Boomers define financial wellness as not having to worry about how to cover unexpected expenses. On the other hand, being able to pay my bills each month was the most common answer among the three younger generations (Gen Z 33%, Millennials 35%, and Gen X 30%).
In addition, when asked about their top financial goal for 2025, most Baby Boomers (23%) admit they don&rsquo;t have one while top goals among other generations include saving for a new car (Gen Z), improving their credit score (Millennials), and saving for retirement (Gen X).&nbsp;
<h3>Achieving Financial Wellness</h3>
It&rsquo;s clear that there is no single way to define or measure financial wellness. Financial providers need to prioritize personalization to deliver the right tools and resources each consumer needs to reach their financial goals.&nbsp;

TTV Capital Bank LP Summit: Advice for Fintechs Selling to Banks

Last week, Alex Johnson from <a href="https://fintechtakes.com/">Fintech Takes</a> shared that the No. 1 piece of advice he gives to early-stage fintech startups is to sell their products to banks. While it seems obvious on the surface, most fintechs aren&rsquo;t prepared to sell to banks &mdash;&nbsp;and most banks aren&rsquo;t prepared to buy from fintechs.&nbsp;
This was the main topic of our panel conversation on stage at <a href="https://ttvcapital.com/">TTV Capital</a>&rsquo;s recent Bank LP Summit, featuring Alex, Clarence Chio (Coverbase), Patrick Cadic (FairPlay), and myself. Thank you to the TTV Capital team for hosting such a valuable event for venture capital partners, portfolio companies, and the fintechs they work with! Here&rsquo;s a few key points that I shared as food for thought:&nbsp;
<h2>1. Make it Easy for Banks to Buy</h2>
Financial institutions often have very detailed procurement, third-party risk management, and due diligence processes that require a mountain of forms and audits. Fintechs can do a lot of the heavy lifting in these processes by:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Getting ahead of the process on common security, risk, compliance, and infrastructure questions, along with any supporting documentation.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Making sure they understand the bank&rsquo;s technology infrastructure and can successfully integrate where they need to do so.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Considering how to start small&nbsp;if a bank is hesitant to say yes to an untested (for them) solution. For instance, offer a proof of concept or a widget to show the solution in action to help them justify the investment.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<h2>2. Cover Your Security and Risk Management Bases</h2>
Security and risk management requirements are usually a &ldquo;Do Not Pass Go&rdquo; scenario for financial institutions. Fintechs who don&rsquo;t meet these basic requirements won&rsquo;t even be considered. So, invest early in ensuring these table stakes requirements are covered.&nbsp;
<h2>3. Remember Selling Cycles are Long&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>
Sales cycles at large financial institutions are long &mdash; sometimes requiring years of relationship building and conversations before a sale comes to fruition. So it&rsquo;s important to sow seeds early and often. Even if it&rsquo;s a no today because budgets are set or vendors are locked in, it could become a yes later. Keep the relationships alive after an initial no and make sure you keep these contacts apprised of new developments as your business grows. 
<h2>4. Be a Value-Add, Not a Competitor, to Internal Teams</h2>
Alex pointed out that sometimes fintechs are seen as a threat by internal IT teams so how can fintechs work to avoid triggering this threat response? It all comes down to collaboration &mdash; be a partner to the internal IT teams and not just a vendor. For them, it&rsquo;s almost always faster and easier to partner versus build your own solution. And, partnering with a fintech can deliver new improvements and innovations faster over time rather than them having to build it themselves. Collaborate with them on requirements and TPRM processes. Enable them to go beyond tactical implementation to uplevel the value they deliver. Provide additional services like change management and marketing ideas to help them get the most value from working with you.&nbsp;
Like most industries, success in financial services still relies on people and trust. Building trust with bank leaders and driving career-amplifying innovation takes time and significant effort. But, the effort is worth it for fintechs and banks. And, the ultimate winner is always the consumer. By partnering together across the financial ecosystem, we can create finances the way they should be &mdash;&nbsp;data-driven, innovation-forward, and outcome-oriented solutions for financial wellness.&nbsp;

MX Survey Says Consumers Trust and Use Differ When it Comes to AI

Artificial Intelligence has been top of mind for many in the financial industry over the last few years but questions still linger, like: Do consumers trust AI to help them with their finances? If so, how are consumers using AI?&nbsp;
MX&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/financial-apps-fall-short/">latest consumer research</a> shows that, while many <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/the-missing-link/">consumers would trust AI</a> to help with certain finance-related tasks, relatively low numbers of consumers are actually currently using AI to help with their finances. While we did not ask specifically about the reason, it&rsquo;s clear there is an opportunity for financial providers to do more to educate consumers about AI (they may be using it and not even know it) and incorporate AI into financial wellness tools.&nbsp;
Here are the key takeaways from our research.
<h3>1. AI Adoption is More Common With Younger Generations</h3>
Attitudes about technology have often been divided along generational lines &mdash; with younger generations more apt to adopt technology and older generations remaining holdouts. And, AI is no exception. Today, only 22% of all consumers say they are using AI to help with their finances. Holding true to the generational trend, Millennials and Gen Z remain the most tech-forward generations. Thirty-seven percent of Millennial consumers and 27% of Gen Z say they use AI to help with their finances, compared to just 2% of Baby Boomers.
<h3>2. High Trust Does not Mean High Use</h3>
In our <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/the-missing-link/">previous consumer survey</a>, we gave consumers a list of AI use cases in financial services and asked them to identify where they would trust AI to help them. In this latest research, we gave consumers the same list and asked them where they are using AI.
The results show trust in AI and use of AI don&rsquo;t match up as much as you might expect &mdash; especially when considering that these findings were collected within six months of each other. For instance, the most trusted feature was reported as the least used.&nbsp; Fifty-nine percent of consumers say they trust AI to help deliver proactive reminders to pay bills, save money, etc., but only 10% of respondents say they use AI for this.

While trust centered on basic functions like proactive reminders, actual usage leans into more advanced functionality. For those consumers who say they use AI to help manage their finances, the most common uses centered on financial advice:&nbsp;

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Provide basic financial advice, such as how much to put in savings or pay towards debt (22%)</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Provide investment-related financial advice, such as stocks to purchase, retirement planning, etc. (15%)</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Personalized recommendations on where you can make changes to improve finances (15%)</li>
</ul>
Overall, our research shows that while many consumers would trust AI to help with their finances, most consumers are not yet adopting it into their financial lives. But, those who are using AI see huge potential to help them better reach their financial goals. The consumers that use AI want help looking ahead and planning for the future. And, they are younger and more willing to trust AI to help them achieve their goals.&nbsp;
While we don&rsquo;t know if this data is simply because these services aren&rsquo;t available to most consumers or consumers don&rsquo;t know they are using AI, it&rsquo;s clear AI can be a powerful tool to help consumers achieve financial strength.&nbsp;
But, AI is only worthwhile if it is powered by quality data. So, <a href="https://www.mx.com/whitepapers/2025-predictions/">looking ahead</a>, financial providers will benefit most by taking a beat and building the right data foundation to fuel better AI use cases.

Just a few weeks ago, we shared a <a href="https://www.mx.com/blog/what-cfpb-turbulence-means-for-open-banking/">recap and early thoughts</a> on all the happenings at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Since then, quite a bit has changed. On February 11, President Trump <a href="https://www.bankingdive.com/news/cfpb-mckernan-fdic-nomination-70-employees-fired/739892/">nominated civil service veteran Jonathan McKernan</a> to serve as Director of the CFPB. McKernan has most recently been serving a five-year term as a director at the FDIC, where he advocated for &ldquo;responsible risk-taking&rdquo; and against &ldquo;duplicative&rdquo; regulatory requirements on financial institutions across agencies.&nbsp;
The in-progress nomination of McKernan signals a potential longer term &ldquo;settling of the dust&rdquo; for all the recent tumult at the agency. But at present, uncertainty continues in the face of multiple actions from Administration leaders and multiple lawsuits in the courts.&nbsp;

Regardless of what happens, we think Rule 1033 is a signal in the right direction by promoting secure, permissioned transfer of data, and is moving the industry away from less secure, more expensive screen scraping. 
<h2>5. Assessing risk in bank-fintech partnerships should put the consumer first.&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>
We&rsquo;re committed to continuing to practice responsible, consistent due diligence in our bank-fintech partnership arrangements. We believe that risk assessments should be based on the level of risk to consumers, with higher-risk use cases (e.g., money movement, credit scoring) requiring more stringent controls. We will continue to protect consumer data through bilateral agreements and consistent due diligence practices, regardless of the current uncertainty among U.S. financial regulatory agencies.&nbsp;
<h2>Conclusion&nbsp;</h2>
Regardless of political headwinds and regulatory uncertainty, MX will continue to focus on open banking, financial inclusion, fraud prevention, privacy protection, and responsible risk assessments in bank-fintech partnerships. Money is a big source of stress for consumers, but they are optimistic about their ability to meet their financial goals in 2025.

MX research shows consumers are optimistic about their 2025 financial goals, and those goals vary by generation.

Understanding Consumer Financial Attitudes and Goals in 2025

A little more than half of consumers (51%) say money is their main source of stress. And, our latest survey shows 44% of <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/financial-apps-fall-short/">consumers struggle to make ends meet</a>. With this context, you might expect most consumers to have a negative attitude about their ability to meet their goals.&nbsp;
But, the opposite is true. The prevailing sentiment from consumers is optimism. Seventy-five percent of consumers are optimistic about achieving their top financial goal for 2025.
And, many say financial situations are improving &mdash; 34% say their financial situation is better than it was 6 months ago.&nbsp;
Why are consumers so optimistic? There are several key factors that contribute most to these feelings of optimism. Among those who are optimistic or very optimistic, top reasons include:&nbsp;

Financial providers can start by making a concerted effort to know their customers and personalize their experience. And, from the consumer&rsquo;s perspective, this personalization isn&rsquo;t just a recommendation &mdash;&nbsp;it&rsquo;s an expectation. Sixty-five percent of consumers agree they expect financial institutions to use the data they have about them to provide them with <a href="https://www.mx.com/products/financial-insights/" target="_self">actionable and clear insights</a> about their finances.
The first place to start on this personalization journey? Each generation has different financial priorities, which require different financial services and products to help them achieve their goals. For 2025, here&rsquo;s a breakdown of top financial goals by generation:&nbsp;

Gen Z finds themselves planning for big expenses &mdash;&nbsp;and saving money to pay for them. Out of all the generations surveyed, they had the highest percentage (62%) that reported they measure financial wellness based on their savings account balance. Their top goal for 2025? Save for a new car.&nbsp;
<h3>Millennials</h3>
Millennials continue to focus on becoming financially stronger with a common financial goal of improving their credit score. And, 42% of Millennials look to their credit score as a top metric for measuring financial wellness.&nbsp;
<h3>Gen X</h3>
As Gen X nears retirement age, it&rsquo;s no surprise they are focused on saving for retirement as their top financial goal for 2025. And, the top metrics they look at to measure financial wellness center on savings &mdash;&nbsp;savings account balances, retirement savings, household income, and more.&nbsp;
<h3>Baby Boomers</h3>

One of the most fascinating finds? Nearly 1 in every 4 consumers are actively avoiding their finances.&nbsp;
The research shows 22% of consumers agree they avoid checking their finances if possible &mdash;&nbsp;while 33% of Gen Z and 28% of Millennials are living in this state of financial avoidance.&nbsp;&nbsp;
So how can financial providers help consumers better manage their finances when they are avoiding them? Our research shows consumers want more from the financial institutions and fintechs they trust to help them manage their money. And, it starts with building tools that are intuitive and integrated.&nbsp;

&ldquo;Consumers are no longer satisfied with a hodgepodge of finance-related apps and disjointed money experiences,&rdquo; says Jane Barratt, Chief Advocacy Officer and Head of Public Policy, MX. &ldquo;But simply avoiding their finances is not the best alternative. Financial providers have an obligation and opportunity to help consumers achieve financial strength and lessen the stress of managing money.&rdquo;

<h2>Combatting the Manual Burden of Money</h2>
MX&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.mx.com/research/financial-apps-fall-short/">survey</a> of more than 1,000 U.S. adults found that while financial accounts are the most common method for tracking and managing finances, manual processes aren&rsquo;t far behind. In fact, 24% of consumers use a spreadsheet or other manual processes to track their finances.&nbsp;
And, for those tracking their finances through their financial accounts (37%), most consumers are likely only seeing their finances frame by frame. This means they are likely missing the bigger picture in some cases. Most alarmingly, 14% of consumers still say they don&rsquo;t track their finances at all.&nbsp;
Why are people turning to spreadsheets and manual processes? The majority say it is easier for them to understand (65%) and gives them better control over their finances (57%). Financial providers have a significant opportunity to lessen this manual burden for consumers by delivering on tools that take these reasons into account &mdash;&nbsp;make it easier for them to understand and control their spending.&nbsp;
<h2>Using Consumer-Permissioned Data To Support a Better Experience&nbsp;</h2>
To deliver on consumer needs, financial providers already have the answer at their fingertips &mdash;&nbsp;leveraging the data they have about consumers to create more personalized experiences.&nbsp;
And, consumers are ready to share more data if it will deliver better experiences for them. Fifty-five percent of U.S. consumers agreed they would give their financial provider access to more of their data if they knew it would result in a better experience.&nbsp;
