Brand and Trademark Usage
In any instances where you leverage MX Trademarks or other distinct MX brand elements, you must always follow the below guidelines for proper usage unless otherwise permitted by MX in advance and in writing to deviate from these rules.
General Guidelines
- Don’t display an MX brand element or trademark as the most prominent element on your web page or content, or in a manner that implies a relationship or affiliation with, sponsorship, or endorsement by MX, or that can be reasonably interpreted to suggest content has been authored by or represents the views or opinions of MX, without prior written permission from the MX team.
- Don’t use an MX brand element or trademark in a manner that can be construed as misleading, unfair, defamatory, libelous, disparaging, obscene, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable to MX, MX products or services, or any other person or entity, as determined at the sole discretion of MX.
- Properly identify each MX Trademark (with ®, ™, or as applicable). In written materials, the appropriate symbol must be used with the first or most prominent appearance of the MX Trademark in headlines and the first time the MX Trademark appears in body text. This appropriate symbol also should be used on each subsequent page if the topic is different or if the pages can be separated and distributed independently. If the materials or web page includes a properly licensed MX logo, which already includes the appropriate trademark symbol, it is not necessary to include a trademark symbol after the word “MX” in the text of that material or web page.
- Include a proper trademark attribution statement crediting ownership of the trademark to MX. The correct trademark attribution statement is: “[List of marks referred to or used, with “MX” first] are trademarks or registered trademarks of MX Technologies, Inc. or its affiliates in the U.S. and/or other countries. Other names may be trademarks of their respective owners.”
- You may not include any MX Trademark in your company name, product or service name, social media profile, or domain name.
- Do not abbreviate or alter the spelling of MX Trademarks.
- Set MX Trademarks apart from surrounding text by using boldface type, italics, capital letters, underscoring, or quotation marks.
- Use MX Trademarks only as adjectives, never as nouns, verbs, or in the possessive form, except when using “MX” as a trade name for MX Technologies, Inc.
- When using “MX” as a trade name, “MX” should not be followed by a trademark symbol or a generic descriptor and may be used in the possessive form. When used within a document, the first reference to the trade name or company name should be “MX Technologies, Inc.” Subsequent references may use “MX.”
- You may not use the MX Trademarks as or in connection with Google AdWords, AdWords Express, or any other similar online advertising service.
MX Logo
- Use only approved master artwork received directly from MX.
- Do not alter or distort the appearance of the logo or design mark and do not add your own design elements or colors or change the font. The MX logo and design marks should always look sharp, clean, and well-produced.
- Our primary logo is MX Black (HEX #000000) on white background. You can download our full logo kit here.
- To preserve the integrity of the MX logo, always maintain a minimum clear space around the logo. This clear space insulates the MX logo from distracting visual elements, such as other logos, copy, illustrations or photography.
- Always include the registered trademark except in instances where the logo is reduced to 0.5 inches or smaller.
- Do not distort the proportions of the logo or use random colors, fills, or outlines outside of approved MX colors. Don’t place the logo over complex backgrounds.
- Co-branding uses of the MX logo must include ample clear space between the two logos. The MX logo should not be re-colored or merged with any other logos in co-branded materials. All co-branded materials must be reviewed and approved in advance by MX.

Typography
- Our primary typeface is Inter. It must maintain its shape and uniformity. Do not kern, scale, or distort in any way.
Brand Voice and Writing Style
- Our core brand characteristics are used to inform how we write and talk about MX. These characteristics are: Bold, Genuine, Grounded, and Friendly.
- The MX team follows AP Style by default, with some key exceptions including the use of the Oxford comma. Unless otherwise directed, use AP Style in all instances.
Use of MX Trademarks in Publications, Seminars, and Conferences
- You may display or refer to MX word marks in the titles or subject matter of books, magazines, periodicals, publications, seminars, and conferences, subject to the below requirements:
- Your use must adhere to these Guidelines and must be necessary because of the subject matter of the publication, seminar, or conference.
- The use must not damage MX's reputation or goodwill in the MX Trademarks and must reflect positively on MX.
- Your name, logo, trademarks, or trade name must be displayed more prominently than the MX word mark on all of your printed materials in connection with the publication, seminar, or conference. You must conspicuously disclaim any and all sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by MX on all publications and/or printed materials in connection with the publication, seminar, or conference.
- You must provide the trademark attribution notice described above under “General Guidelines.”
